August 16

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 4 Players - (http://www.legopoker.com http://www.legopoker.com/hh)

Hero (SB): $251.50
BB: $279.20
UTG: $68.65
BTN: $453.45

Preflop: Hero is dealt As Ac (4 Players)
2 folds, BTN raises to $6.00, Hero raises to $25.00, BTN calls $19.00

Very standard 3-bet. The button is loose-aggressive pre-flop so his opening range is huge. I don't really know what his calling range is to my 3-bet. He's called once and given up on the flop (although I don't remember what the flop was).

Flop: ($50) Qs 6d Ks (2 Players)
Hero bets $34.00, BTN calls $34.00

I'm not really sure what to make of that board. It hits KK, QQ, AK, KQ and 66 hard. It also gives him a lot of possible draws. If he shoves to my bet I'm not going to be able to fold this hand.

Turn: ($118) Ah (2 Players)
Hero bets $88.00, BTN raises to $176.00, Hero raises all-in to $192.50, BTN calls $16.50

This looks like a great turn card as it only completes JT. He thought for quite a while before shoving and I make the easy call. I got really lucky on this turn [see below for results] and I don't think there's any way I would've got away from the flop if he shoved.

River: ($503) 6h (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $503.00 ($2 Rake)

BTN had Qd Qh (a full house, Queens full of Sixes) and LOST (-$251.50)
Hero had As Ac (a full house, Aces full of Sixes) and WON (+$249.50)

UTG: $99.08
MP: $106.60
CO: $125.54
BTN: $156.04

Preflop: Hero is dealt 8d 8h (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP calls $1.00, CO raises to $3.00, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.00, MP calls $2.00

I elect to just call the small raise with my 8s.

Flop: ($9.50) 3c 8s 2d (3 Players)
Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets $4.00, Hero calls $4.00, MP raises to $12.00, CO folds, Hero calls $8.00

Great flop. The only thing I'm concerned about here is trying to get some value. It's suck a dry flop that they need an overpair or lower set to carry on. Therefore, I just call the C-bet, and then I just call the check-raise from MP.

Turn: ($37.50) 4d (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP bets $35.00, Hero raises to $80.00, MP calls all-in for $56.60, Hero calls $11.60

MP bets strongly on this turn and I really think he does have a low set or overpair. I make the easy shove and he had 33. It's nice to be on the right end of one of these hands!

River: ($220.70) Kc (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $220.70 ($3 Rake)

Flop: 5c 5s 8h ($23, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $15, CO folds, SB raises to $40, Hero calls.

The SB was very loose-aggressive pre-flop, playing something like 47/26. A 5 is definitely in his range here, but so are an 8 and 99-QQ, or a bluff. I elect to just call this bet planning to get it in on the turn. This should commit him to the hand with worse hands than mine, which will fold if I re-raise this flop.

Turn: 9d ($103, 2 players)
SB bets $80, Hero raises all-in $162, SB calls all-in $78.15.
Uncalled bets: $3.85 returned to Hero.

He bets pretty big and I just put him in. Unfortunately he did have the 5, but I still think my play is OK here.

I elect to call here in position with a hand that can flop well. The flop's going to be 3-way for definite, and the SB comes along too which is great.

Flop: 7s 4d 6s ($30, 4 players)
SB bets $11, UTG raises to $30, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $100, SB folds, UTG calls.

Awesome looking flop for me. SB bets out and UTG raises him. I was in two minds here as to what to do. UTG's line looks strong, but he wasn't a very good player so I didn't think it was that likely he had a set. I decide to raise it up with my monster draw as the value of the draw decreases so much if the turn blanks. I make it $100 and hope that someone comes back over the top. I decided not to shove as I think $100 looks stronger (shoving looks like a draw) so it increases my fold equity.

Turn: 3s ($241, 2 players)

I didn't see any real point in re-raising pre-flop as I wanted MP to tag along. I'm felting any flop at this point - I've made my decision of that before the flop comes.

Flop: ($80.44) 3c Jc 2d (3 Players - 1 All-In)

Excellent flop. He bets pretty big and I flat call as it's fairly dry and if he just has overcards I'd like him to hit one of them.

Ok, I need to raise now as there are a few draws out. I make it an amount that lets me shove the river and get a call from most hands. He flat calls. I think he's shove with an overpair so I'm not really sure what he has.

Here I decide to take a stab at the pot with my flush draw 3-handed. I quite like this as it's possible they'll both fold, or I might get position in the hand and take a free turn, or I might hit a flush on the turn and they'll be less inclined to believe me.

I put him on AK-AJ so when he checks I fire out a decent sized bet that I think he'll call. He check-raises me all-in and I obviously call. That's a good flop. He bets weakly so I raise it up and he pretty much insta-raised me again for basically the minimum. I think this guy's range is AK, AQ, AJ, AA, QQ to do this. I shoved and, with hindisight, I think calling might've been a better choice. He's shown me he likes his hand a lot with a min-raise pre-flop, and a small bet followed by a small re-raise on the flop. I think he's more likely to have a really strong hand here than one pair. I shoved though, he showed my AQ and I didn't have as good odds as I thought. I definitely think I got carried away with myhand here and should've slowed down to the 3-bet on the flop.

This villian is a solid Cardrunners member and I was really worried when he put in a 4-bet pre-flop. Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with kh 5h 2 folds, Hero raises to $4, SB folds, BB calls.

I've been opening up my game a little so I elect to raise K5s here. I'm in position and unlikely to get into any real trouble playing this hand.

Flop: :10d 9h qh ($8.5, 2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $5, BB raises to $10, Hero calls.

I'm always going to C-bet this flop heads up. He min-raises and I obviously have odds to call with my flush draw and gutshot.

Turn: 7h ($28.5, 2 players)BB bets $12, Hero raises to $32, BB raises all-in $180.9, Hero calls.

He bets kind of small. Absolute have 200BB stacks so I don't want to just call as I'd like to create a pot. I raise and he insta-shoves. I was actually a little nervous about the nut flush, but there's no way I ever fold this. If you do, you're playing too high stakes to make reasonable decisions. He could have a lower flush, or the nut flush draw (with something else), or a set, or whatever. Lol at his shove for 200BBs.

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 4 Players - (http://www.legopoker.com http://www.legopoker.com/hh)

SB: $219.69
Hero (BB): $100.00
UTG: $212.74
BTN: $107.35

Preflop: Hero is dealt Kh Ks (4 Players)
UTG calls $1.00, BTN raises to $5.00, SB calls $4.50, Hero raises to $22.00, UTG calls $21.00, BTN calls $17.00, SB folds

UTG was a total fish playing something like 90% of his hands. The button isolates, SB calls, and I pop it up fairly large with KK. UTG and the button call.

Flop: ($71) 3c 6d Tc (3 Players)
Hero bets all-in for $78.00, UTG calls $78.00, BTN folds

Great flop for me and I'm never getting away from this. The pot is $71 and I have $78 left so I just shove. Hopefully it looks like AK to the button and he might call with QQ or JJ. UTG calls with a terrible hand and the button folds.

Turn: ($227) 4h (2 Players - 1 All-In)

River: ($227) 5h (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $227.00 ($2 Rake)

UTG had Qs Td (a pair of Tens) and LOST (-$100.00)
Hero had Kh Ks (a pair of Kings) and WON (+$125.00)

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 4 Players - (http://www.legopoker.com http://www.legopoker.com/hh)

SB: $180.00
BB: $127.80
UTG: $538.20
Hero (BTN): $236.40

Preflop: Hero is dealt Jc Tc (4 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7.00, SB calls $6.00, BB folds

I have no information on the SB as he just sat down.

Flop: ($16) 2c 4c Th (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12.00, SB calls $12.00

A good looking flop for me and I make my standard C-bet.

Turn: ($40) 4d (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $25.00, SB calls $25.00

I decided to keep betting this turn, although I now think it was a mistake. He can only really call the flop with a better T or a flush draw. I don't mind giving a free card to a flush as it might be worse than mine and I hold some of his outs if it's better. I think checking this turn is much the better play.

River: ($90) 6h (2 Players)
SB bets all-in for $136.00, Hero calls $136.00

And now betting the turn has got me into trouble. This seemed so much like a bluff and I decided to call. He flopped a set and slowplayed it pretty well. I really don't like my call here against an unknown. I've definitely made a few calls like this before and been correct mainly, but that's been after I've played with the opponent for a while. Against an unknown I should have folded this. A pretty embarrassing hand (and it happened while Noel was sweating me to make it worse!). Notice that if I check the turn he can only really bet $40 ish, and I'd be able to call this and save myself around $120.

Pot Size: $362.00 ($2 Rake)

SB had 2h 2d (a full house, Twos full of Fours) and WON (+$180.00)
Hero had Jc Tc (two pair, Tens and Fours) and LOST (-$180.00)

SB: $62.00
BB: $187.00
UTG: $426.25
Hero (MP): $224.10
CO: $278.85
BTN: $281.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt Qh Qc (6 Players)
UTG calls $2.00, Hero raises to $9.00, CO calls $9.00, BTN calls $9.00, SB calls $8.00, 2 folds

I'd been pretty active on this table and my pre-flop raises were usually getting at least one caller. Here i get 3 callers with QQ.

Flop: ($40) 8d 4s Jd (4 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $30.00, CO raises to $112.00, BTN folds, SB calls all-in for $53.00, Hero raises all-in to $215.10, CO calls $103.10

I decide to bet out strongly as I don't want to give anyone an excuse to play back at me. The CO raises me and SB calls all-in. I'm not concerned about the SB. The CO was playing around 36/30 although his aggression factor was low (but not over very many hands). This is a spot where I'll often fold, but I really felt like I had this guy so I shoved. His pre-flop stats suggested he was here to play some poker. If this hand hadn't been on Full Tilt, I may have folded because I used most of my time bank up to make the decision. I find that your instincts will often tell you what the correct decision is though, and it's very hard to explain why I sometimes call here and sometimes fold.

Hero had Qh Qc (three of a kind, Queens) and WON (+$296.10)
